Care Assistant (Residential Home)

About the Role

We are looking for a caring and compassionate Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to residents within a residential care home. The role focuses on personal care, companionship, and assisting residents with their daily routines while promoting dignity, independence, and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide personal care, including washing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Support residents with getting up in the morning and preparing for bed.
• Assist with making beds, changing bedding, and maintaining residents' rooms.
• Provide companionship and meaningful social interaction.
• Assist residents at mealtimes.
• Support residents with mobility and daily living activities.
• Carry out light domestic duties to maintain a clean and comfortable environment.
• Observe and report any changes in residents' health or wellbeing.
• Maintain accurate records and follow care plans and policies.
• Medication administration

Requirements

• A caring, patient, and compassionate approach.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well as part of a team.
• Previous care experience is desirable but not essential as training can be provided.
• Right to work in the UK.

Pay: £12.71-£13.00 per hour
