Duties

• Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, and mobility to maintain dignity and comfort
• Support with daily activities such as meal preparation, medication administration, and light housekeeping tasks
• Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being and reduce feelings of isolation
• Monitor health conditions and report any changes or concerns to healthcare professionals promptly
• Help with mobility and transfer techniques using safe handling practices, including heavy lifting when necessary
• Drive clients to appointments or outings safely and responsibly when required
• Manage behavior management strategies for clients with dementia or Alzheimer’s to ensure safety and calmness

Skills

• Proven assisted living experience or caregiving background in similar environments
• Strong patient care skills with a focus on compassion and empathy
• Knowledge of nursing home procedures, hospice care, dementia care, and Alzheimer’s care best practices
• Ability to handle medication administration accurately following prescribed protocols
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare teams
• Capable of performing heavy lifting safely and managing physical demands of the role
• First aid certification and driving license are highly desirable for ensuring safety and mobility support
• Experience in home care or childcare can be an added advantage for versatile caregiving needs
