Cargo Specialist

BRITT Cargo Express is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Cargo Specialist to coordinate freight routing, track shipments, and support timely deliveries. The ideal candidate has strong planning, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and optimize routes for cargo pickups and deliveries.
• Track shipments and monitor delivery schedules.
• Coordinate with drivers, dispatchers, carriers, warehouse teams, and customers.
• Adjust routes to address delays and changing priorities.
• Verify shipment details, addresses, and delivery requirements.
• Maintain accurate transportation records and prepare routing reports.
• Use Excel, GPS tools, and transportation management systems.
• Identify opportunities to reduce transportation costs and improve efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and freight-handling standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in logistics, freight, dispatch, routing, or supply chain operations preferred.
• Strong organizational, time-management, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and logistics software.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple shipments in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $24.20 - $26.60 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
