Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Cargo Van Driver to join our dynamic delivery team. Duties

• Safely operate a cargo van, including manual transmission vehicles, to deliver goods across designated routes.
• Load and unload cargo using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment while following safe lifting practices.
• Verify delivery addresses, route plans, and shipment documentation before departure.
• Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and on time, maintaining high standards of customer service.
• Adhere strictly to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and traffic laws during all driving activities.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections, report maintenance issues, and maintain vehicle cleanliness and safety standards.
• Use mobile devices or GPS systems for route navigation and delivery updates, ensuring efficient route driving.

Skills

• Proven experience in delivery driving, warehouse operations, or commercial truck driving with a focus on cargo van or box truck routes.
• Strong knowledge of manual handling, heavy lifting, and safe lifting practices in a warehouse or delivery setting.
• Familiarity with material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and load & unload techniques.
• Excellent driving skills with a valid driver’s license suitable for commercial or personal vehicle delivery; experience with manual transmission preferred.
• Ability to adhere to traffic regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) rules, and weight handling standards in the workplace.
• Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced environments requiring moving between multiple stops efficiently.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations including inventory management and material handling procedures is a plus.
