Cargo Van Driver (OTR)

Job Summary

Join our dynamic team as a Cargo Van Driver (OTR). This role offers an exciting opportunity to operate a box truck or cargo van, ensuring timely deliveries while providing excellent customer service. Duties

• Safely operate a cargo van or box truck on over-the-road routes, following designated schedules and routes.
• Comfortable driving long distances
• Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in optimal condition and report any maintenance issues promptly.
• Ensure compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, traffic laws, and company policies during all driving activities.
• Manage delivery documentation accurately using mobile devices, including delivery manifests, route logs, and proof of delivery.
• Good communication skills, must follow dispatch instructions and pickup/delivery schedules. and must provide exceptional customer service by communicating professionally with clients during deliveries and pickups.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a driver with a focus on commercial driving.
• Commercial driviing, OTR, or expedited, experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license appropriate for operating a box truck or cargo van; CDL license is a plus but not required.
• Strong driving skills.
• Knowledge of safe manual handling practices, heavy lifting techniques, and weight handling in the workplace.
• Familiarity with DOT regulations, traffic laws, and route driving best practices for over-the-road deliveries.
• Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude during all interactions.

We need drivers who understand that once a load is accepted, the expectation is to complete it.

Drivers must be dependable, communicate consistently, take care of company equipment, and understand that OTR freight does not guarantee a return home after every load.

Compensation

• Earn up to $1000+ weekly
• 1099 position
• Paid weekly

Actual earnings depend on freight availability, miles, market conditions, and driver availability.
