Responsibilities

• Safely operate a cargo van or box truck for long-distance deliveries across multiple states or regions.
• Adhere strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, traffic laws, and safety protocols during all driving activities.
• Plan efficient routes using mobile devices or GPS tools to ensure timely deliveries while minimizing fuel consumption.
• Provide excellent customer service by delivering packages courteously and professionally, addressing any questions or concerns.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in optimal condition; report any maintenance issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, delivery receipts, and route documentation for compliance and record-keeping purposes.

Skills

• Proven experience in delivery driving, courier services, or warehouse operations involving manual handling and heavy lifting.
• Familiarity with commercial driving, including operating box trucks or vans with manual transmissions.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations related to weight handling in the workplace and safe driving practices on route driving segments.
• Ability to operate mobile devices for navigation, communication, and delivery documentation efficiently.
• Strong customer service skills with a professional attitude when interacting with clients during deliveries.
• Physical capability to perform manual handling tasks such as lifting heavy packages safely and moving items within warehouses or delivery sites.

Pay: $800.00 - $2,500.00 per week
