Carpenter Apprentice

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, repairing, and maintaining structures and fixtures with precision and craftsmanship. Duties

• Read and interpret detailed construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to execute projects accurately.
• Measure, cut, assemble, and install wood, metal, and other materials using hand tools and power tools with precision.
• Erect metal buildings and framing structures such as walls, floors, and roofs in accordance with specifications.
• Perform concrete forming, rebar installation, and concrete finishing to create durable foundations and structures.
• Execute trim carpentry tasks including molding, cabinetry, door frames, and window casings to enhance aesthetic appeal.
• Manage remodeling projects by removing old materials and installing new fixtures while adhering to safety standards.
• Conduct masonry work when required, including laying bricks or blocks for walls or other structures.
• Use basic math skills for dimensional measurements and construction calculations to ensure accuracy on every task.
• Operate heavy lifting equipment safely for transporting materials around the site.
• Interpret construction plans and technical drawings accurately to guide your work process effectively.

Experience

• Proven experience in construction environments with a focus on carpentry or related trades.
• Strong knowledge of metal building erection, metal stud framing, framing carpentry, and drywall installation.
• Hands-on experience with concrete forming, rebar installation, masonry work, plastering, and welding is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings is essential for precise execution of tasks.
• Familiarity with hand tools such as saws, hammers, chisels; power tools including drills and saws; tape measure proficiency; and other essential construction equipment.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during complex projects.
• Basic math skills necessary for measurements, calculations of materials needed, and project estimations.
• Construction site experience demonstrating adherence to safety protocols and effective teamwork in fast-paced environments.
