Carpenter Apprentice

IJM Builders is a custom home construction and renovation company serving Fredericton and the surrounding communities. We’re looking for a dedicated, skilled carpenter to join our team.

What you bring

The Employee represents that they possess the following qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation to and from work sites
• Enthusiasm for learning and pursuing a career in carpentry
• Physical stamina and dexterity to handle daily manual labour tasks
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Willingness to work in diverse weather conditions and environments

Basic understanding of construction principles and techniques is considered an asset.

What you will be doing

As a Carpentry Apprentice, the Employee will work under the supervision of experienced carpenters to learn and develop carpentry skills. Responsibilities include:

• Assisting senior carpenters with daily tasks
• Learning and applying proper carpentry techniques
• Managing and maintaining tools and equipment
• Handling and organizing materials
• Following all safety protocols and compliance requirements
• Asking questions and seeking guidance to support learning
• Self-evaluating daily progress and performance

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
