Carpenter Apprentice/Journeyman

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Carpenter Apprentice to join our team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the building and carpentry field while working under the guidance of skilled professionals. As a Carpenter Apprentice, you will assist in various construction tasks, learn essential carpentry skills, and contribute to the successful completion of projects.

Hourly pay rate will be based on experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist experienced carpenters in the installation of trim, framing, windows, doors and other aspects of home building and renovations
• Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Help with construction estimating and project planning as required.
• Perform heavy lifting and material handling duties as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of carpentry techniques is preferred but not required.
• Experience with basic mathematics, reading a tape measure, level etc.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) consistently throughout the day.
• Familiarity with hand tools and power tools commonly used in carpentry.
• Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn from experienced professionals.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and committed to completing tasks efficiently.
