Food Truck Carpenter / Build-Out Contractor

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Carpenter/Build-Out Contractor to help complete the interior and exterior build-out of a food truck/trailer. The ideal candidate should have experience with framing, flooring, walls, cabinetry, counters, and general trailer or mobile food-unit construction.

Responsibilities

• Inspect the existing trailer structure and determine what can be repaired, reused, or replaced.
• Repair and/or install subflooring and flooring.
• Frame and rebuild walls using wood or metal framing as appropriate.
• Install and reinforce structural supports where needed.
• Install interior wall coverings such as FRP panels.
• Build and install countertops and work surfaces.
• Frame and install doors and service/concession windows.
• Install cabinets, shelving, and storage areas.
• Assist with sealing and weatherproofing openings.
• Make sure all construction is securely fastened and suitable for a mobile food-service environment.
• Work around existing plumbing, electrical, propane, and other trailer systems without damaging them.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Complete work according to agreed-upon plans, measurements, and specifications.

Qualifications

• Previous carpentry, remodeling, trailer, camper, food-truck, or commercial build-out experience preferred.
• Ability to accurately measure, cut, frame, and install materials.
• Comfortable working with power tools and hand tools.
• Knowledge of wood and/or metal framing.
• Able to identify structural concerns and communicate them before performing work.
• Must be dependable, detail-oriented, and safety-conscious.
• Ability to work independently and complete projects on schedule.

Project

This is a food truck/trailer conversion project involving structural repairs, subfloor/flooring, wall framing, FRP installation, counters, doors/windows, and interior build-out.

Pay: $26.01 - $31.33 per hour
