Carpenter

About the role

The Carpenter is responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining wooden structures, furniture, fixtures, and other wood-related items across assigned facilities. The role ensures quality craftsmanship, adherence to design specifications, safety compliance, and timely completion of assigned tasks. The Carpenter also supports installation, maintenance, and preventive repairs as required.

Key responsibilities:

• Build, install, and assemble carts wooden furniture, cabinets, partitions, doors, and other fixtures
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders
• Measure, cut, and shape wood using hand tools and power tools
• Ensure completed structures meet quality, design, and safety standards
• Inspect existing carts, wooden structures and furniture for damage or wear
• Repair, replace, or reinforce damaged woodwork
• Perform preventive maintenance to prolong lifespan of wooden items
• Maintain logs of repair and maintenance activities
• Coordinate with supervisors and area managers regarding carpentry needs
• Follow safety protocols for tool usage, lifting, and handling materials

Qualifications:

• Senior High school graduate or vocational/technical graduate in Carpentry, Construction, or related field
• Minimum of 1 year experience in carpentry, furniture making, or construction
