Carpenter

The Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Carpenter to join our growing team, delivering exceptional workmanship across residential projects. The successful candidate will be able to competently approach all areas of carpentry, from the installation of kitchens to fitting doors, architraves and skirting, through to roof constructions and bespoke carpentry projects.

Key Responsibilities

Carpentry & Joinery Work

· First‑fix and second‑fix carpentry, including stud walls, joists, door frames, skirting, architraves and flooring

· Installation of bespoke carpentry elements such as wardrobes, alcove units, staircases, shelving and storage solutions

· Fitting kitchens, worktops, larder units and integrated appliances

· Constructing and installing timber structures including roofs, porches, decking and external cladding

· Repairing, restoring and upgrading existing timber features

Technical & Construction Tasks

· Reading and interpreting architectural drawings, plans and specifications

· Measuring, marking out and cutting materials with precision

· Ensuring all work meets building regulations, structural requirements and Heritage Build Group quality standards

· Working with other trades to coordinate sequencing and ensure smooth project delivery

Tools, Materials & Site Practice

· Maintaining a full set of professional tools and ensuring they are kept in good working order

· Selecting appropriate materials for each job and ensuring correct installation methods

· Following site safety protocols, including correct PPE usage and safe handling of tools and materials

· Keeping work areas tidy, organised and safe at all times

Teamwork & Client Interaction

· Working collaboratively with project managers, builders, electricians, plumbers, decorators and other sub-contractors

· Communicating clearly about progress, issues or material requirements

· Representing Heritage Build Group professionally on client sites

Experience & Qualifications

· Proven experience as a Carpenter in residential construction or renovation environments

· Strong first‑fix and second‑fix carpentry skills

· Ability to work independently and deliver high‑quality finishes

· Full UK driving licence

Pay: £33,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
