Carpenter

About the role

Undertake all aspects of the Carpentry trade, including but not limited to; reactive and planned maintenance and construction activities on our client's buildings and open space assets; and assist in reducing operational costs, and mitigating risks associated to ineffective and/or faulty assets.

Key responsibilities

• Undertake all aspects of Carpentry regarding maintenance and construction of Modus' client's assets
• Undertake all activities to high standard of workmanship
• Assist in servicing assets in accordance with relevant standards to protect our client's assets and the community from potential hazards
• Utilise external resources as required to ensure services are delivered in a timely manner
• Engage all relevant utilities and service providers for the purpose of; inspections and approvals and identification of faults etc
• Use initiative to solve problems that arise on site in order to complete tasks as efficiently as possible
• Provide efficient and effective customer service
• Assess the adequacy of information contained in requests
• Complete works with minimum disruption to occupants
• Undertake works to agreed service standards

About you

• Trade Certificate in Carpentry or equivalent (preferred)
• Current Driver's Licence (mandatory)
• Construction Induction Card (White Card)
• First Aid Certificate (preferred)
• Working at Heights Ticket (preferred)
• Elevated Work Platform (Under 11m) (preferred)
• Strong, effective communication skills (written & verbal)
• Exceptional organisational and time management skills
