Carpenter – TD Everything

Exeter and sites across Devon | £20–£24 per hour, depending on experience

Zero-hours contract | Up to 40 hours across five days per week, depending on bookings

TD Everything is looking for a reliable, experienced carpenter to carry out carpentry, repairs and refurbishment work in Exeter and across Devon. We are looking for someone who takes pride in a tidy finish, communicates clearly and treats customers’ properties with care.

The work

• Fit and repair doors, skirting boards, architraves and other timber fittings.

• Carry out first- and second-fix carpentry, flooring and kitchen fitting where required and within your skills.

• Measure accurately, plan materials and work from drawings or clear job instructions.

• Identify and explain repair requirements, keeping the team informed of progress.

• Work safely, protect customers’ properties and leave work areas clean and tidy.

• Work independently and alongside other trades as required.

What we are looking for

• Relevant practical carpentry experience and examples of work completed to a good standard.

• Confidence using carpentry tools safely and solving problems on site.

• Reliability, good timekeeping and a professional approach with customers.

• Ability to travel reliably to agreed sites in Exeter and across Devon.

• A carpentry qualification or equivalent practical experience. Other property maintenance skills are welcome.

Pay and working arrangements

• £20–£24 per hour, with the agreed rate based on skills and experience.

• Zero-hours contract: work is offered according to customer bookings and your agreed availability. No minimum hours or days are guaranteed.

• Up to five days and 40 hours per week may be available when bookings allow. There may be weeks with less work or no work.

• You can accept or decline work offered and take work elsewhere.

• Statutory paid holiday entitlement applies. The advertised hourly rate excludes holiday pay.

• Site locations, working times, tools and travel arrangements will be discussed before assignments are agreed.
