Job Overview

Driftwood Builds is looking for a full-time Carpenter to join our growing team.

We specialize in high-quality decks and custom outdoor living spaces throughout Lake Country and the greater Milwaukee area. Our work includes composite and PVC decks, custom stairs and railings, cabanas, under-deck systems, and other outdoor structures.

We're looking for someone who takes pride in their craftsmanship, works well with a team, and wants to build a long-term career with a company that values both its customers and its employees.

This is a year-round, full-time position with opportunities to grow as Driftwood Builds continues to expand.

What You'll Do

• Frame and build custom decks and outdoor structures
• Install composite and PVC decking
• Build stairs, railings, and other finish components
• Assist with cabanas, under-deck systems, and custom outdoor living projects
• Read plans, layouts, and measurements accurately
• Safely operate hand and power tools
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite
• Work alongside the crew to keep projects moving efficiently
• Communicate with the project lead about progress, materials, and jobsite needs
• Represent Driftwood Builds professionally on customers' properties

Required:

• Previous carpentry, framing, remodeling, or residential construction experience
• Working knowledge of common carpentry tools and construction methods
• Ability to accurately measure, cut, and build
• Strong attention to detail
• Dependable and able to consistently arrive on time
• Comfortable working outdoors and performing physically demanding work
• Ability to work independently and as part of a crew
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Preferred:

• Deck-building experience
• Composite/PVC decking experience
• Experience installing railing systems
• Experience with residential framing and stairs
• Ability to read construction plans
• Experience leading portions of a project or mentoring less-experienced crew members

Pay: $20–$40/hour based on experience and skill level

Higher starting pay is available for candidates who can demonstrate strong carpentry skills, work independently, and take ownership of portions of a project.

Pay: $20.00–$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40+ per week

Schedule:

• Monday–Friday
• Day shift
• Overtime as available

Work Location: In person — jobsites throughout Lake Country, Waukesha County, and the greater Milwaukee area
