We offer the following paid holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving (plus Friday), and Christmas Day. Additionally, we leave early on New Year's Eve and Christmas Eve if the production schedule allows.

All employees receive forty (40) hours of paid sick time in accordance with CT employment laws. All employees begin accruing paid time off on their first day of employment with eligibility to use them after your 90-Day probation. You may earn and use up to forty (40) hours PTO in a calendar year.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with framing structures, ensuring stability and compliance as directed by the site manager - including carrying and staging of materials.
  • Perform concrete forming, rebar installation, finishing, and related masonry tasks to support foundational work - including digging and cleanout prior to pour.
  • Operate company van or pickup truck as needed for site preparation or material handling while maintaining safety protocols.
  • Follow all directions given by project managers, the owner, and the office manager to coordinate tasks efficiently.
  • Ensure all work adheres to safety standards, building codes, and project timelines.

Requirements

  • Experience in construction or carpentry with an entry-level understanding of building techniques and materials.
  • Skilled in the use of hand tools (e.g., saws, hammers), power tools (e.g., drills, saws), and heavier equipment when necessary.
  • Knowledge of stud framing, drywall, insulation, siding, and general repair & maintenance is highly desirable.
  • Ability to perform dimensional measurements accurately using tape measures and other measuring devices.
  • Basic math skills for calculations related to measurements and material quantities.
  • Physical stamina for heavy lifting, working at heights, bending, standing for extended periods, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interpret technical instructions clearly.
  • Valid construction site experience with a focus on safety practices; certifications such as OSHA are a plus but not mandatory.
  • Use of smartphone applications is essential for proper time tracking and daily task list completion.
