Carpenter

Qualification:
3+ years of carpentry/joinery experience; marine, yacht or high-quality interior fit-out experience is advantageous.

Technical Knowledge and Skills:

• Drawing and template interpretation

• Cabinetry and panel fabrication
• Laminates and finishing
• Woodworking hand/power tools and machinery
• Material optimization and safety

Job Responsibilities

• Read joinery drawings, templates, dimensions and material specifications.
• Measure, mark, cut, shape, drill, laminate, assemble and finish timber, plywood, panels and approved composite/finish materials.
• Fabricate cabinetry, frames, furniture, trims, panels and other assigned components to required tolerances.

Installation & Fit-Out

• Install cabinetry, partitions, doors, flooring, trims and other interior/exterior joinery.
• Ensure alignment, fit, clearances, fastening and finish meet approved requirements.
• Coordinate interfaces with electrical, plumbing, HVAC and other outfitting trades before closing or fixing components.

Quality & Material Control

• Check dimensions and workmanship before and during installation and rectify approved defects.
• Protect completed joinery and vessel surfaces from damage.
• Plan cuts and use materials efficiently; segregate reusable offcuts and report defects/waste.

Tools & Safety

• Use woodworking machines, hand tools and power tools only within demonstrated competency.
• Inspect and maintain tools and follow guards, extraction, PPE and safe-cutting requirements.

Maintain an organized and clean work area.

Works collaboratively with relevant Design, Production, Projects, Planning, Quality, HSE, Procurement, Stores, Finance, HR and other Group/support functions
