SELF-EMPLOYED CONSTRUCTION WORKER WANTED – LEIGH-ON-SEA

RJA Carpentry & Building Ltd are looking for a reliable and experienced self-employed construction worker / multi-trade to join us on an upcoming project in Leigh-on-Sea, Essex.

The project involves the demolition of an existing property followed by the construction of two new-build houses, with approximately 11–12 months of work available.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has good general construction experience
• Is confident working independently and as part of a small team
• Is reliable, hardworking and takes pride in their work
• Has their own basic hand tools and a good range of power tools suitable for general construction work
• Has their own reliable transport (ideally a van)
• Has their own valid Public Liability Insurance
• Holds a valid CSCS card where required
• Is registered as self-employed/CIS
• Has a good understanding of site health & safety

The work will be varied throughout the project, including general building work, carpentry, groundwork assistance, timber-frame construction and other duties associated with taking two new-build properties from start through to completion.

Location: Leigh-on-Sea, Essex
Start: To be agreed – trial day on 5th October
Duration: Approx. 11–12 months
Basis: Self-employed / CIS
Rate: Negotiable depending on experience and ability
