As a Carpenter, you will work with an in-house team of carpenters and skilled labourers on various commercial construction projects, ensuring all work meets the highest standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work collaboratively with a team of carpenters and skilled labourers
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements
• Plan, organise, and execute projects to meet the required specifications and timelines
• Ensure all work is performed according to safety regulations
• Perform hands-on carpentry work, including construction and finishing carpentry tasks
• Inspect work to ensure quality and accuracy
• Coordinate with third-party trades and subcontractors as necessary
• Provide training and mentorship to team members
• Communicate effectively with clients, project managers, and team members
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during construction

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a carpenter or similar role, preferably in commercial projects
• Red Seal accreditation considered a strong asset
• Valid G driver’s licence
• Extensive knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, and tools
