Carpenter

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Carpenter/Siding Installer to join our team. The successful candidate will install a variety of exterior cladding systems while ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Install vinyl, engineered wood (LP SmartSide), fiber cement, metal, and composite siding systems.
• Install house wrap, rainscreen systems, flashings, trims, starter strips, and accessories.
• Measure, cut, and fit siding materials accurately.
• Install soffit, fascia, eavestrough, and exterior finishing components.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work site.
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, pump jacks, aerial lifts, and other equipment.
• Identify and communicate any structural or moisture issues before installation.
• Ensure all work meets manufacturer specifications and local building codes.
• Work professionally with homeowners, builders, and coworkers.
• Assist with loading, unloading, and material management.

Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of siding installation or exterior carpentry experience.
Experience installing one or more of the following:
-Vinyl siding
-LP SmartSide
-James Hardie / fiber cement
-Steel or aluminum siding
-Soffit, fascia
-Seamless Eavestroughing

Valid Class 5 driver's licence.
Reliable transportation.
Ability to work at heights.
Comfortable lifting 50 lbs (23 kg) or more.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a crew.
• Fall Protection certification.
• Aerial Work Platform (Scissor Lift/Boom Lift) certification.
• First Aid certification.
• Experience operating telehandlers or skid steers.
• Experience leading a crew.

Wage

$29.00–$36.00 per hour, depending on experience, productivity, and leadership ability.

Schedule

• Monday to Friday
• Occasional Saturdays during peak season
• 8–10 hour shifts
