Carpenter

Rauser Builders is hiring an experienced Carpenter to work on residential and commercial construction projects throughout the Gallatin Valley and surrounding areas.

This is a hands-on position for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship, has a broad range of construction skills, and can work independently or as part of a team. The ideal candidate is a well-rounded carpenter who can perform a variety of tasks throughout the construction phases and takes pride in completing quality work.

Rauser Builders is a Belgrade-based general contractor serving the Gallatin Valley and greater Montana region. Our team delivers commercial, residential, and government funded construction projects with a focus on integrity, craftsmanship, and strong relationships.

Job Responsibilities:

As a Carpenter, you will work alongside our construction team to complete projects safely, efficiently, and to the standards that Rauser Builders is known for.

Key responsibilities include:

· Perform layout and framing for new builds and remodels

· Install windows, doors, siding, trim, and cabinets

· Perform finish carpentry and detail work

· Perform drywall, insulation, and other interior construction tasks as needed

· Perform demolition safely and efficiently

· Read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications

· Perform accurate layout, measurements, cutting, installation, and finishing

· Use hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely and efficiently

· Work with other trades, subcontractors, and team members to keep projects moving efficiently

· Maintain consistent quality and craftsmanship throughout all phases of construction

· Identify and communicate field issues or potential problems to leadership

· Maintain clean, organized, and professional job sites

· Follow jobsite safety standards and OSHA guidelines

· Travel outside of the Gallatin Valley as needed for projects

Qualifications include:

· 5+ years of carpentry or general construction experience

· Strong background in framing and carpentry

· Experience with multiple areas of building construction

· Experience installing windows, doors, siding, and trim

· Experience with finish carpentry and ability to read and interpret construction drawings and plans

· Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team

· Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

· Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in outdoor construction environments

· Willingness to travel outside of the Gallatin Valley as needed

Additional qualifications that are a plus:

· OSHA 30 certification

· Forklift, telehandler, aerial / scissor lift certifications

· Experience operating construction equipment

· Valid Class A CDL with air brakes and no restrictions

Competitive Pay Based on Experience

Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
