Carpenter

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team and grow with us as we provide renovation and new construction services to clients throughout the Pioneer Valley. The Carpenter will perform skilled carpentry tasks including both rough and finish carpentry. They will provide carpentry skills in a group & individual setting, respond to clients’ requests, coordinate with Project Management and sub-contractors, and regularly inspect their own completed work to ensure it conforms to the project specifications and quality.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure company and customer satisfaction through professional appearance, expert workmanship, and polite communication
• Attend all company meetings as outlined by management
• Provide transportation of materials to job sites as needed
• Follow building plans and specifications to meet client’s needs and current building codes
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Ability to safely lift 50 lbs. Minimum
• Comfortable using ladders and scaffolding
• Demonstrated ability to operate hand, air, and power tools
• Inform the Project Manager of the progress of the project, including any customer concerns, problems, delays, etc.
• Be responsible for the efficient and profitable use of the company’s time, manpower, and materials on each project
• Maintain an operational personal inventory of necessary tools, safety equipment, and vehicle to perform the specific activities assigned by management
• Seek additional responsibility and guidance from company management employees as needed to enhance existing skills, learn new skills, and create potential for advancement within the company

Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license
• CORI check
• Tools and transportation
• Proven experience in remodeling and new construction
• Sound knowledge of safety standards and procedures
• Ability to read blueprints
• Excellent time management skills
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to work independently or in a group

Preferred Skills & Licenses:

• CSL license (perform continuing-ed to maintain license, if applicable)
• Hoisting License
• Lead RRP Certificate
• OSHA 10 or 30
• Mask Fitting

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
