Position: Carpenter

Job Summary:
A Carpenter is responsible for constructing, installing, repairing, and maintaining wooden structures, fixtures, and fittings in residential, commercial, and industrial projects. The role requires the ability to read drawings, operate carpentry tools, and ensure work is completed according to quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood, plywood, and other materials.
• Install doors, windows, cabinets, furniture, partitions, and other wooden fixtures.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
• Construct and repair frameworks, roofing structures, and formwork.
• Perform maintenance and renovation work on existing wooden structures.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery safely.
• Inspect completed work to ensure accuracy and quality standards.
• Follow workplace health and safety regulations at all times.
• Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and other construction workers to complete projects efficiently.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Carpenter.
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings.
• Knowledge of carpentry materials, methods, and tools.
• Good mathematical and measuring skills.
• Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy materials.
• Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
• Knowledge of workplace safety practices.
