Carpenter

1. Job Purpose

To carry out carpentry, joinery, installation, and finishing works for interior design and fit-out projects, ensuring all work meets approved drawings, quality standards, project specifications, and deadlines.

2. Key Responsibilities

Carpentry and Joinery Works

• Perform carpentry and joinery work for residential, commercial, retail, and office interior projects.
• Manufacture, assemble, install, and repair wooden structures, furniture, cabinets, wardrobes, doors, shelves, partitions, and decorative elements.
• Execute custom-made furniture and joinery works according to approved designs and dimensions.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, shop drawings, measurements, and specifications.
• Cut, shape, drill, assemble, and finish wood, plywood, MDF, laminates, and other approved materials.

Installation and Site Works

• Install kitchen cabinets, wardrobes, counters, wall panels, wooden doors, skirting, ceiling features, and other interior fixtures.
• Carry out on-site modifications and adjustments to ensure proper alignment and fitting.
• Coordinate with site supervisors, interior designers, electricians, plumbers, painters, and other trades.
• Ensure all carpentry work is completed within the project schedule.

Tools, Materials and Maintenance

• Operate hand tools and power tools safely and correctly.
• Check materials and measurements before starting work and report shortages or discrepancies.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and materials in good working condition.
• Minimise material wastage and use materials efficiently.

Quality, Safety and Housekeeping

• Ensure accurate measurements, smooth finishes, proper alignment, and high-quality workmanship.
• Follow approved drawings, project specifications, and site instructions.
• Comply with company HSE policies and applicable UAE site safety requirements.
• Keep the work area clean and organised and dispose of waste appropriately.
• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and report unsafe conditions or incidents immediately.

3. Qualifications and Experience

• ITI, vocational training, or equivalent practical experience in carpentry or joinery is preferred.
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in carpentry, preferably in interior design, joinery, or fit-out companies.
• Experience in custom furniture fabrication and on-site installation.
• Ability to read drawings and take accurate measurements.
• Knowledge of MDF, plywood, solid wood, laminates, veneers, and related materials.
• Ability to operate carpentry tools and equipment safely.

• Quality and accuracy of completed carpentry work.
• Timely completion of assigned tasks.
• Compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
• Minimisation of material wastage and rework.
• Compliance with site safety procedures.
• Proper care and maintenance of tools and equipment.
• Feedback from the site supervisor and project team.

6. General Responsibilities

• Perform other carpentry-related duties assigned by the Site Supervisor or Project Manager.
• Maintain professional conduct at project sites and client premises.
• Protect client property, completed finishes, and company materials from damage.
• Follow company policies, site rules, and applicable UAE labour and safety requirements.

Pay: AED1,500.00 - AED2,000.00 per month
