About the role

H Build Constructions is looking for a reliable, skilled and motivated Carpenter to join our team. We undertake residential construction projects and are seeking someone with practical carpentry experience who takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship. The successful candidate will work on a range of residential construction projects, working alongside our team to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out general carpentry work on residential construction projects.
• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Complete framing, flooring, wall and roof construction, and other carpentry tasks as required.
• Install doors, windows, cladding and other building components.
• Ensure all work complies with relevant building codes, specifications and health and safety requirements.
• Work effectively with other trades and follow project schedules.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised worksite.

About you

• Proven experience as a Carpenter in residential construction.
• Good knowledge of carpentry methods, tools and building materials.
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• A full driver's licence is preferred.
• Relevant qualifications and experience in the New Zealand construction industry are advantageous.
