What they need
Responsible for the construction, erection, installation and repairs of structures and fixtures made of wood, steel, concrete and other materials. Key duties include reading blueprints and drawings, measuring, cutting and shaping materials using hand and power tools, framing walls, installing door and cabinet fixtures and adhering strict compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
Education: High School graduate or graduate of vocational course with NC II
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in carpentry, exposure to construction related activities
Certification/Apprenticeship: Completion of a relevant apprenticeship program
Technical Skills: Framing, finishing, operating hand and power tools, blueprint reading, cabinetry
