NOW HIRING: CUSTOM CABINET CARPENTERS

NUMBER ONE CABINETS | HOCKLEY, TX

Build Something Awesome. Take Pride in Your Work. Grow With Us.

Are you the kind of person who would rather build something with your hands than sit behind a desk all day? Do you enjoy working with tools, creating high-quality products, and seeing your hard work turn into something incredible?

Number One Cabinets is growing, and we're looking for skilled, motivated carpenters to join our team!

We're a custom cabinet manufacturing and installation company that takes pride in quality craftsmanship, attention to detail, and delivering outstanding finished products.

We're building a team of hardworking individuals who are passionate about their craft, enjoy working together, and want to be part of a company that's going places.

Whether you're an experienced cabinet maker or an up-and-coming carpenter with solid woodworking skills, we want to hear from you!

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

This isn't a job where you'll be doing the same boring task every day. You'll have the opportunity to work on custom projects, develop your skills, and see your craftsmanship come to life.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Custom Cabinet Building: Construct high-quality custom cabinets, including kitchen cabinets, bathroom vanities, built-ins, and other specialty cabinetry.
  • Cabinet Installation: Professionally install custom cabinetry in residential and commercial spaces, ensuring everything is level, secure, and finished correctly.
  • Wood Shop Operations: Work hands-on in our cabinet manufacturing facility using professional woodworking tools and equipment.
  • Cutting & Assembly: Measure, cut, assemble, and prepare cabinet components with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Blueprints & Measurements: Read and interpret cabinet drawings, layouts, and measurements to ensure accurate construction.
  • Finish Carpentry: Install trim, fillers, panels, hardware, and finishing details to achieve a clean, professional appearance.
  • Quality Control: Inspect your work and maintain the high standards our customers expect.
  • Team Collaboration: Work alongside other carpenters, installers, and team members to complete projects efficiently.
  • Shop Organization: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We're looking for people who take pride in what they do, show up ready to work, and want to keep getting better.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience building and assembling custom cabinets.
  • Experience installing cabinets in residential or commercial settings.
  • Familiarity with working in a professional wood shop or cabinet manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to operate woodworking tools and equipment safely.
  • Experience using table saws, miter saws, routers, drills, nail guns, and other common woodworking tools.
  • Ability to read a tape measure accurately and perform basic construction measurements.
  • Understanding of cabinet construction, assembly, and installation techniques.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work is REQUIRED.
  • Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
  • Ability to safely lift and maneuver cabinet materials and components, with assistance or equipment when appropriate.

Bonus Points If You Have:

  • Experience with high-end custom cabinetry.
  • Experience installing cabinet hardware, drawer slides, and specialty accessories.
  • Experience with CNC equipment or other cabinet manufacturing machinery.
  • Experience with frameless or face-frame cabinet construction.
  • Experience with finish carpentry and custom built-ins.
  • A background in residential remodeling or custom home construction.

You don't have to know everything, but you do need a solid foundation in carpentry and a willingness to learn.

✅ Work on Awesome Projects – Build custom cabinetry that transforms homes and businesses.

  • Wants to improve their skills and become a better carpenter.
  • Can take direction but also thinks independently.
