About the Role

Maestro Carpentry Pty Ltd is seeking an extremely meticulous, reliable carpenter to carry out general carpentry duties across allocated construction sites.

This position requires someone who can turn up on time, follow instructions, work independently when required and complete tasks to an impeccable standard without constant supervision. Maestro Carpentry works with high end builders with high standards and complex work requirements, so thorough attention to detail is required as well as excellent stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out general carpentry to an extremely high standard, including framing, flooring, fix-outs, doors, windows and intricate finishing work.
• Read plans, take measurements and complete work accurately.
• Use hand tools, power tools and equipment safely.
• Follow instructions from supervisors and coordinate with other trades.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Identify and report mistakes, defects, delays and material shortages.
• Take responsibility for the quality and completion of assigned tasks.
• Comply with site rules, safety requirements and company procedures.
• Look after tools, materials and company property.

Essential Requirements

• Relevant carpentry qualifications and practical experience.
• Current White Card.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans.
• Reliable attendance and strict punctuality.
• Ability to work without constant supervision.
• Willingness to follow instructions and accept feedback.
• Meticulous attention to detail and a responsible approach to work.
• Driver's licence and own car is required as travel outside of Sydney will be required regularly out of own expense.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and business acumen is required to deal with the high calibre clientele that Maestro Carpentry works with.

Working Conditions

• Standard roster of Monday to Friday, 7:00 am–3:30 pm, subject to applicable break arrangements.
• Work locations will vary depending on project requirements, including all weather outdoor work and regular travel 2 hours outside of Sydney.
• Early starts, weekend work and occasional additional hours may be required where lawful and reasonable.
• Construction work involves physical activity, outdoor conditions and changing site environments.
• Employees are expected to maintain productivity and meet reasonable deadlines.
• All work must comply with applicable safety procedures and quality requirements.

Remuneration

The annual base salary is $80,000 plus superannuation which is payable on a monthly basis. Applicable allowances and other entitlements will be paid in accordance with the relevant award and legislation.
