Job Description

John Casey Construction, LLC is seeking a skilled, dependable, and motivated Carpenter / General Construction Professional to join our growing team.

We specialize in residential and commercial construction, including custom homes, renovations, remodeling, and general construction projects throughout the Rochester and Finger Lakes region.

We are looking for a well-rounded construction professional who takes pride in quality craftsmanship, pays attention to detail, and is comfortable performing a variety of construction-related tasks.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver who can work independently and collaboratively with other tradespeople to complete projects efficiently and professionally.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general carpentry, framing, trim, and finish work.
• Assist with residential remodeling, renovations, and commercial construction projects.
• Complete installations, repairs, and general construction tasks.
• Perform punch-list work and finishing details.
• Read and interpret basic construction plans, drawings, and measurements.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely and effectively.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe jobsites.
• Coordinate with project managers, field supervisors, and fellow team members.
• Demonstrate professionalism and attention to detail on every project.
• Assist with additional construction tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in carpentry, remodeling, or general construction preferred.
• Working knowledge of construction tools, materials, and techniques.
• Ability to perform a variety of construction-related tasks.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to jobsite safety and quality workmanship.
• Ability to perform the physical requirements of construction work, with or without reasonable accommodation.
