Carpenter Foreman

Industry: Manufacturing and supply of ceramic tiles, porcelain products, and sanitary ware for residential and commercial construction projects.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate carpenters and helpers in the workshop and on-site.
• Plan and organize daily carpentry work according to project requirements and deadlines.
• Review drawings, measurements, cutting lists, and work instructions before production.
• Ensure accurate fabrication and installation of furniture, kitchens, wardrobes, doors, cabinets, and other wooden fixtures.
• Monitor carpentry work to ensure proper measurements, alignment, finishing, and quality standards.
• Assign tasks to carpenters and helpers and monitor their productivity and progress.
• Coordinate with project coordinators, interior designers, site teams, and other departments.
• Check materials, hardware, tools, and equipment required for each project.
• Identify material shortages, defects, or technical issues and report them to management.
• Ensure proper and safe use of woodworking machinery, power tools, and hand tools.
• Conduct regular quality checks during fabrication and before installation.
• Handle repairs, adjustments, modifications, and site-related carpentry issues when required.
• Ensure projects are completed according to approved drawings, specifications, and timelines.
• Maintain proper housekeeping and organization of the carpentry workshop.
• Ensure all team members follow company safety procedures and workplace regulations.
• Train and guide junior carpenters and helpers on proper working methods and safety practices.
• Prepare daily progress updates and report project status, manpower, and issues to management.
• Coordinate loading, unloading, transportation, and installation of finished furniture and materials.
• Perform other carpentry supervision and project-related duties as assigned.

Preferred Skills & Requirements

• Proven experience as a Carpenter Supervisor, Carpentry Foreman, or Senior Carpenter.
• Strong knowledge of furniture, kitchen, wardrobe, and cabinet fabrication.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and measurements.
• Good knowledge of woodworking materials, hardware, fittings, and finishing.
• Ability to operate and supervise the use of woodworking machinery and power tools.
• Strong leadership and team-management skills.
• Ability to plan manpower and allocate daily tasks effectively.
• Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Ability to coordinate with site teams and other departments.
• Good communication skills and ability to work under project deadlines.
• UAE/GCC carpentry experience is preferred.

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED4,000.00 per month
