Job Summary We are looking for a Carpenter's Helper to join our team. If you are a motivated and enthusiastic person who enjoys working collaboratively and committed to providing great service, we want to hear from you. The Carpenter's Helper is responsible for helping with general carpentry and box making following our standards. This is a great entry level job for someone that has carpentry ability, box making skills, and a good work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Designing and installing cabinets, shelving, fitted furniture, drywall and insulation.
• Adding fixtures and fittings such as door handles, locks, hinges and closures.
• Selecting lumber by size and strength to suit each job, sourcing wood to suit the customer’s budget and style.
• Calculating the number of fasteners required for each job.
• Reading blueprints and designs to work to specifications prepared by other construction professionals, architects and building code recommendations.
• Maintain and perform preventative maintenance on tooling.
• Promote safety within the workplace to guarantee all tasks are performed within the safety manual guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent preferred.
• Some general carpentry experience preferred.
• Detail-oriented and good troubleshooting skills.
• Dependable, honest, reliable.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Great work ethic.

Compensation And Benefits

• Hourly pay rate - $13.00 to $14 (based on qualifications)
• Dental, Vision, and Health insurance
• Paid time off
• (Waiting Period may apply. Only full-time employees eligible)

Schedule

• 8-hour shift.
• Full-time Day shift.
• Monday to Friday.
• Overtime.
