Carpenter (Interior Works)

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Carpenter to join our interior projects team. The candidate will be responsible for executing carpentry and woodwork as per approved drawings, measurements, designs, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute carpentry and interior woodwork as per site measurements and approved drawings.
• Carry out installation of modular furniture, wardrobes, cabinets, kitchen units, TV units, partitions, doors, paneling, and other interior works.
• Read and understand basic interior drawings and measurements.
• Perform cutting, shaping, drilling, fixing, and assembling of plywood, MDF, particle board, laminates, veneer, and other materials.
• Ensure proper alignment, level, finishing, and fitting of all carpentry work.
• Coordinate with the Site Supervisor, Interior Designer, and other trades during project execution.
• Take accurate measurements at the site and report any discrepancies before fabrication/installation.
• Use carpentry tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ensure minimum material wastage and proper handling of materials.
• Rectify defects and carry out finishing/touch-up work whenever required.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety at the work area.
• Follow company quality, safety, and project timelines.
• Complete assigned work within the scheduled project deadlines.

Required Skills

• Good knowledge of interior carpentry and furniture installation.
• Ability to work with plywood, MDF, laminates, veneer, and related materials.
• Ability to understand basic drawings, measurements, and layouts.
• Good knowledge of carpentry tools and equipment.
• Good finishing and workmanship skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as with a project team.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work at different project sites as required.

Qualification & Experience

• ITI / relevant technical qualification preferred.
• 2–5 years of experience in interior carpentry or furniture installation.
• Candidates with strong practical experience may also be considered without formal qualification.
