What they need

About the Role

As a Modular Construction Carpenter with Summit Modular, you’ll be part of the team bringing high-quality residential homes to life through modern modular construction.

This is a varied, hands-on role covering multiple stages of the build. You’ll install engineered steel frames and trusses, fibre cement cladding, flooring, doors and windows, as well as completing fit-out and finishing carpentry.

Working closely with the Site Manager and wider production team, you’ll work from construction drawings and specifications to deliver quality workmanship safely and efficiently. As an experienced member of the team, you’ll also have the opportunity to lead and support Trade Assistants and other team members while contributing to an efficient and collaborative production environment.

About You You’ll be a skilled, practical Carpenter who takes pride in the quality of your work and enjoys being part of a team where everyone contributes to getting the build right.

To be successful in this role, you’ll bring:

  • A relevant carpentry trade qualification or demonstrated carpentry/construction experience
  • The ability to confidently read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Strong practical carpentry skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Experience safely using hand tools, power tools and construction equipment
  • A good understanding of residential construction requirements and building standards
  • A strong commitment to safety, quality and efficient work practices
  • The ability to support, coach and work collaboratively with other team members
  • Current relevant licences and tickets
  • Previous modular construction experience is highly regarded, but not essential

Most importantly, you’ll be reliable, organised and someone who takes pride in contributing to a quality finished home.

Where you’ll be working

You’ll be part of Summit Homes Group, one of WA’s established residential building groups, while working within an innovative and growing area of residential construction.
