Carpenter Self Employed

Courtenay Building Contractors Ltd are seeking experienced and reliable self-employed 1st and 2nd Fix Carpenter to support our refurbishment and fit-out projects across commercial and residential properties in Harlow and the surrounding areas.

This opportunity is on a sub-contract basis and would suit established tradespeople with their own van and tools, looking for consistent project work with a professional, reputable main contractor.

Scope of Works

• Carrying out all aspects of 1st and 2nd fix carpentry within refurbishment and fit-out projects.
• Working in both occupied and unoccupied properties.
• Coordinating with site managers, clients, subcontractors, and other trades.
• Delivering work to agreed timescales and quality standards.
• Following site health & safety procedures at all times.

Requirements

• Proven carpentry and joinery experience (minimum 5 years in the UK).
• Minimum NVQ Level 2 or equivalent.
• Own van, tools, and PPE.
• Good health & safety knowledge and awareness.
• Must be able to provide references and evidence of qualifications.
• Willingness to undergo DBS clearance (due to client requirements).

Details

• Sub-contract basis.
• Typical working hours: Mon–Fri, 07:30–16:30, with weekend work as required.
• Projects based in Harlow and the surrounding areas.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £190.00-£220.00 per day
