Job Overview

We are seeking experienced carpenters and builders to join our construction team.

Work includes 1st and 2nd fix as well as roofing works, dry walls and mf ceilings and general building works on sites across Colchester.

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and other materials using hand tools and power tools to meet project specifications.
• Fabricate custom joinery components such as cabinets, frames, doors, and window casings with precision.
• Install wooden structures and fixtures on-site, ensuring proper alignment and secure fastening.
• Perform roofing tasks including framing, sheathing, and waterproofing as needed for building projects.
• Assist with heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely to support construction activities.
• Conduct basic construction painting, finishing, and touch-ups to enhance project quality.
• Collaborate with project managers, electricians, plumbers, masons, and other trades to ensure seamless integration of carpentry work within broader construction efforts.

Skills

• Proven experience in carpentry, joinery, fabrication, and assembly processes.
• Proficiency with hand tools such as saws, chisels, hammers, levels, and measuring tapes.
• Skilled in operating power tools including drills, sanders, nail guns, and saws safely and effectively.
• Knowledge of roofing techniques along with plumbing and masonry basics is a plus.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper posture and technique.
• Familiarity with electrical experience or working alongside electrical trades is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills to adapt plans as needed during construction projects.

Pay: £150.00-£175.00 per day
