Carpenter/Laborer

Position Overview

Brost Concrete & Construction is looking for an experienced, reliable Carpenter / Construction Laborer to join our team full-time.

This is a hands-on position supporting a variety of residential construction, carpentry and concrete projects throughout the Raleigh area. Work may include new construction, additions, remodels, decks, framing, foundations, slabs and other residential improvements, along with concrete preparation, placement and finishing.

Previous construction experience is required. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in carpentry, residential construction, concrete work or a combination of the two. We’re looking for someone who can confidently contribute on the jobsite, work independently when needed and take pride in quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Assist with residential construction projects from start to finish
• Perform general carpentry and construction work
• Assist with framing, additions, remodels, decks and other residential projects
• Perform measuring, layout, material preparation and installation
• Assist with concrete foundations, slabs, flatwork and other concrete projects
• Assist with concrete forming, placement, finishing and cleanup
• Safely and properly use hand and power tools
• Load, unload and organize tools and construction materials
• Maintain a clean, safe and organized jobsite
• Follow jobsite safety procedures and instructions
• Work efficiently as part of a small construction team
• Take on a variety of carpentry, residential construction and concrete tasks as needed

Qualifications

• Previous hands-on construction experience is required
• Carpentry, residential construction or concrete experience required
• Experience with hand and power tools
• Working knowledge of construction materials, methods and jobsite practices
• Ability to accurately measure, read basic plans and follow directions
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting and carrying materials
• Reliable transportation
• Pride in workmanship and attention to detail

Our residential work includes new construction, additions, remodels, decks, retaining walls, foundations, slabs, driveways, patios and other residential improvements.

We’re a small team that takes pride in quality workmanship, reliable service and building projects to last. We’re looking for an experienced, dependable team member who takes pride in their work and wants to contribute to a variety of residential and concrete construction projects.

Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 45.0 per week
