Carpenter/Laborer

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Carpenter/Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of carpentry and labor tasks on residential and commercial projects. Your expertise will help ensure that projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards of quality. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work hands-on with construction plans, utilize a wide range of tools, and contribute to building and restoring structures with precision and care.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute project requirements.
• Operate hand tools, power tools for woodworking, and woodworking machines safely and efficiently.
• Perform framing, drywall installation, trim carpentry, cabinet installation, door hanging, siding, roofing, and flooring installation.
• Assist with concrete forming, rebar installation, masonry work, plastering, stucco application, and water damage restoration tasks.
• Fabricate and assemble components using CNC machinery or other fabrication tools as needed.
• Conduct heavy lifting and assist in material handling using appropriate safety procedures.
• Support restoration projects including mold remediation, water damage repair, and general site cleanup.
• Follow construction safety protocols related to power tool safety, electrical work, plumbing, metal stud framing, and other trades involved in residential carpentry.
• Install fixtures such as lighting fixtures or cabinetry while adhering to detailed schematics.
• Collaborate effectively with team members to meet project deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality.

Qualifications

• Proven construction experience with a strong background in carpentry and general labor tasks.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, construction plans, and technical drawings accurately.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools for woodworking, drywall tools, roofing equipment, and woodworking machines.
• Knowledge of construction materials including wood construction materials, siding materials, rebar, concrete forms, drywall components, and metal studs.
• Experience with residential carpentry projects such as framing, trim work, fixture installation, flooring laying or tile work.
• Familiarity with construction site safety practices including power tool safety protocols.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail on complex projects.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret technical instructions effectively.
• Additional skills such as plumbing experience or electrical knowledge are a plus but not required.

Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour
