Carpenter/Laborer

Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Carpenter or General Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. Responsibilities

• Operate hand tools and power tools for woodworking, framing, siding, drywall installation, fixture mounting, and trim carpentry
• Perform heavy lifting of construction materials such as wood, metal studs, drywall sheets, and siding components
• Install various fixtures including cabinets, moldings, doors, windows, and other residential features
• Prepare construction sites by framing walls, installing rebar for concrete work, applying plaster or caulking as needed
• Support reinstallation or restoration projects by removing damaged materials and assisting with mold remediation efforts
• Follow safety protocols related to power tool operation, power tool safety standards, and general site safety procedures

Skills: (depending if Carpenter or Laborer)

• Experience with woodworking machines and hand tools used in carpentry and remodeling projects
• Strong knowledge of residential carpentry techniques including framing, trim work, cabinetry installation, and metal stud framing
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications for various construction tasks
• Familiarity with drywall installation, plastering, rebar installation, siding applications, caulking techniques, and fixture mounting
• Knowledge of wood construction materials such as lumber types, plywoods, composites; experience working with wood products in various environments
• Construction site experience with heavy lifting requirements and working safely around power tools and machinery
• Handyman experience or background in restoration industry work is a plus
