What they need
ASSISTANT CARPENTER/HELPER Thames Shipyard and Repair is looking for a reliable, hard working carpenter to work at one of the largest commercial ship repair facilities between New York and Boston. Willing to train the right person.
Work Schedule
- Monday-Friday 6:30am-4:00pm
- Saturday 6:30am-12:00pm
- Additional overtime available Monday-Saturday
- Double time available Sunday
Responsibilities:
- General carpentry
- Working from scissor and boom lifts
- Working in confined spaces with limited access through eighteen inch hatch
- Climbing ladders
- Heavy lifting, able to lift at least 50 pounds
Requirements
- Pre-employment drug test
- Respirator fit test and physical
- Willing and able to work outside year round and in all weather conditions
- Must have reliable transportation
