Carpentry Gangs / Subcontract Carpentry Teams

Millard Studio – Bristol & Surrounding Areas

Millard Studio is a growing design and build company based in Bristol, delivering high-quality residential projects across Bristol and the surrounding areas.

We are looking to build relationships with reliable, experienced carpentry gangs to price and undertake complete carpentry packages across our upcoming projects.

We have an ongoing pipeline of residential work, including extensions, loft conversions, renovations, refurbishments and new builds, and are looking to establish long-term working relationships with quality subcontract carpentry teams.

The Opportunity

We are looking for established carpentry gangs who can take responsibility for complete carpentry packages, from pricing through to completion.

Works may include:

• Structural timber works
• Roof construction and alterations
• First fix carpentry
• Second fix carpentry
• Studwork and partitions
• Joists and floor structures
• Roof structures and associated timber works
• Door linings and internal carpentry
• Skirting, architraves and other second fix works
• Bespoke timber works where required

The ability to price works from architectural drawings, specifications and scopes of work is essential.

We are looking for teams who can provide clear, competitive quotations and then deliver the agreed works to a high standard and in line with the project programme.

About You

We are looking for established carpentry gangs with a strong track record in residential construction.

You will ideally have:

• Proven experience in residential carpentry
• Experience carrying out both first and second fix works
• Strong knowledge of structural timber and roof construction
• The ability to accurately price works from drawings and specifications
• Your own tools and suitable transport
• Appropriate CSCS / CIS arrangements
• Good communication and organisation
• The ability to work to agreed programmes and deadlines
• A high standard of workmanship
• Appropriate public liability insurance

We are particularly interested in carpentry gangs who are looking for regular, ongoing work and want to develop a long-term relationship with a growing construction company.

About Millard Studio

Millard Studio brings architectural design and construction together under one roof, delivering considered residential projects from initial design through to completion.

We are a close-knit team and work collaboratively across design, project management and construction. We value reliable subcontractors who take pride in their work, communicate well and share our approach to quality and project delivery.

As the construction side of the business continues to grow, we are looking to build a strong network of trusted subcontractors that we can work with across multiple projects.

Location

Bristol and surrounding areas

Projects will be predominantly within Bristol and the surrounding areas.

Subcontract / Self-Employed

This is a subcontract opportunity for established carpentry gangs, rather than a PAYE employed position.

We are looking for teams who can price individual carpentry packages and undertake the works on an agreed subcontract basis.

If you are an experienced carpentry gang interested in pricing upcoming work and developing a long-term relationship with Millard Studio, please apply with details of your team, experience, areas covered and availability.

We would be happy to discuss upcoming projects and carpentry packages with suitable teams.
