The Lorian Group have partnered with a well-established, family-run commercial contractor with over 20 years in the industry. Specialising in government and education projects, they deliver a mix of new-build, refurbishment and fitout works up to $5m. With a continuous pipeline of government work and a strong reputation in the industry, they are looking to bring on an experienced Leading Hand / Carpentry Supervisor to join their Brisbane team.

Your New Role This is a hands-on supervisory position where you'll be working across a variety of commercial projects, splitting your time between carpentry work and overseeing day-to-day site activities. Depending on the size of the project, you'll either be running smaller jobs independently or working alongside a Site Manager on larger projects.

Your Duties and Responsibilities

• Carry out carpentry works across commercial fitout, refurbishment and new-build projects.
• Coordinate subcontractors and trades to ensure works are progressing to programme.
• Assist with the day-to-day supervision and management of site activities.
• Maintain a high standard of workmanship, safety and quality across projects.
• Work closely with the Site Manager and wider project team to ensure successful project delivery.

What You Will Need to Succeed

• Trade qualification in Carpentry.
• Previous experience as a Leading Hand, Foreman or Carpentry Supervisor within commercial construction.
• Comfortable working both on the tools and in a supervisory capacity.
• Ability to coordinate subcontractors and manage smaller projects independently.
• Strong communication skills, a good attitude and willingness to get involved wherever needed.
• White Card and relevant industry tickets.
