About the role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Carpet Cleaner and Pest Control to join the team at Property Services Unlimited (Waikato). This is a full-time position based in Hamilton, Central Waikato. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering Professional Carpet and Upholstery Cleaning services to our valued clients across the region. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and customer satisfaction for which Property Services Unlimited is known. This position offers the opportunity to work independently whilst being part of a supportive and professional team.

What you'll be doing

• Perform professional carpet cleaning using industry-standard equipment and techniques, including steam cleaning, hot water extraction, and dry cleaning methods
• Assess carpet and upholstery condition and determine the most appropriate cleaning methods and products for each job
• Treat stains, spots, and heavily soiled areas using specialised cleaning solutions and pre-treatment methods
• Deliver exceptional customer service, answering client questions and providing professional advice on carpet care and maintenance
• Prepare work areas by moving furniture, protecting surrounding surfaces, and ensuring a safe working environment
• Maintain and service cleaning equipment to ensure it remains in optimal working condition
• Document work completed, including before and after assessments and customer feedback
• Follow health and safety procedures and maintain a clean, organised work vehicle
• Travel to client locations within the Hamilton and Waikato region

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Carpet Cleaner or in a similar Cleaning services role
• Proficiency in operating carpet cleaning equipment such as hot water extraction machines, steam cleaners, and carpet spotting equipment
• Knowledge of various carpet types, fabrics, and appropriate cleaning methods for different materials
• Understanding of cleaning chemicals, solutions, and safety protocols when working with these products
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate professionally with clients
• Physical fitness and the capability to perform manual labour, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
• Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic
• A current driver's licence and access to reliable transportation
• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results
• Willingness to undertake relevant training and certifications in cleaning techniques and safety standards
