Carpet Cleaning Technician

Job Description: Full Time Carpet Cleaning Technician

At Excite Cleaning, we owe our success to our people and processes. Our technicians begin by receiving hands on training until they have mastered the techniques and skills required to begin providing carpet cleaning and water mitigation services to our clients. After in house training is completed, we provide additional training and certifications through an IICRC approved school. This position will work approximately 40 hours Monday-Friday 9AM-5PM and include being on call for after hours emergencies every other week.

Compensation

No prior experience: starting at $13/hr. and increasing as skills are perfected. (Current technicians make $45-55K per year)

Prior experience: TBD

On call: 30% of total job

Primary Responsibilities

· Account for and return all cleaning tools, hoses, products, drying equipment etc. to the truck before departure from the client’s home or business

· Learn and perform carpet and upholstery cleaning, water removal processes and structural drying procedures

· Responsible for cleanliness and care of Excite! Cleaning vehicle(s)

· Perform renewal cleanings and vacant unit turns for apartment communities

· Learn about products, mixture ratios and proper application

· Ability to move and/or lift 50lbs (avg)

· Availability for after-hour emergencies (increased compensation)

· Excellent communication skills: ability to greet and hold a conversation with others in an enthusiastic, friendly, and respectful manner.

· Excellent listening skills: ability to uncover needs, listen to and understand what a customer or manager is looking for, and answer any questions that may arise

· Attention to detail

· Organizational skills

· Time management: ability to work in a fast-paced environment and complete tasks efficiently and in a timely manner.

· Able to work with team members to accomplish tasks

Requirements

· Valid Driver’s License

· Must have a clean driving record

· Must pass a drug screening if asked

· Must grant permission for a criminal background screening
