Duties

• Operate cleaning equipment such as carpet extractors, floor buffers, and floor scrubbers to thoroughly clean and restore carpets and floors.
• Perform carpet cleaning using specialized techniques to remove stains, dirt, and allergens, ensuring a fresh and healthy environment.
• Handle and apply floor cleaning chemicals safely during various tasks including waxing, buffing, refinishing, and sealing floors.
• Conduct manual handling of heavy equipment and furniture to facilitate comprehensive cleaning processes while adhering to safety protocols.
• Execute floor scrubbing, buffing, waxing, and refinishing to maintain high standards of cleanliness and shine across different surfaces.
• Deliver excellent customer service by addressing client needs, explaining cleaning procedures, and ensuring satisfaction with the results.
• Maintain cleaning equipment regularly to ensure optimal performance and safety during all tasks.

Qualifications

• Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or environmental services environments is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of floor care techniques including scrubbing, buffing, waxing, and refinishing is advantageous.
• Ability to handle cleaning chemicals responsibly while following safety guidelines for chemical agent handling.
• Physical stamina for heavy lifting, manual handling, and prolonged standing or walking throughout shifts.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills for maintaining equipment and completing documentation.
• Customer service skills that foster positive interactions with clients and team members alike.
