The Role

We are looking for experienced carpet tufting machine operators to join our busy manufacturing team. You'll be responsible for operating and monitoring a Tufting machine, maintaining product quality and ensuring production targets are achieved safely and efficiently.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

·        Starting up and running Tufting Machines

·        Following bills of materials, operator instruction and set up sheets

·        Perform quality checks and complete production documentation

·        Full Creel changes and pattern changes

·        Manage balance of creel to make best use of yarn

·        Assist with machine change overs and maintenance.

·        Maintain high housekeeping and cleanliness standards

·        Recording daily production

·        Continuously monitoring tufted material for quality issues

·        Report all health and safety issues and machine breakdowns

About You

You will possess and display the following skills and attributes.

·        Great communicator with excellent verbal and written English

·        You are reliable and show up on time

·        Cheerful and friendly nature with a “can-do” attitude

·        Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

·        You care about safety and doing the job right

·        Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks

·        Must have NZ residency, or a valid NZ work visa

·        Current fork hoist endorsement a bonus

·        Reliable transport to and from work

Shift Pattern

·        Monday to Thursday 40 hrs. per week

·        Day shift 6am – 5pm

·        Periodic late shift 1pm to midnight

·        Friday and occasional Saturday overtime available
