Carrier relationship Associate

Job Summary

The Carrier relationship Associate is a full-time, on-site role . This position focuses on building and managing relationships with carrier partners, negotiating freight rates, and securing capacity for customer shipments. Day-to-day responsibilities include sourcing and qualifying new carriers, managing load bookings, tracking and tracing freight, and resolving service issues in a timely and professional manner. The role also involves collaborating with internal teams to align carrier capacity with customer requirements, maintaining accurate records in transportation management systems, and identifying opportunities to improve service quality and cost efficiency.

Requirements

• Ability to build and maintain strong carrier relationships, including negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
• Experience in logistics, transportation, or freight brokerage, with knowledge of North American trucking operations and equipment types.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written), with the ability to interact effectively with carriers, customers, and internal teams.
• Proficiency with MS Office and transportation or logistics management systems; strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Proven sales mindset, including prospecting, lead follow-up, and closing, with a focus on meeting or exceeding performance targets.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize multiple tasks, and make sound decisions under time pressure.
• Post-secondary education in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field is an asset; equivalent industry experience is also valued.
• Willingness to work on-site in morning and afternoon shift and collaborate closely with team members and leadership.

Pay: From $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
