What they need
We’re looking for a Cantonese speaking Case Manager Assistant to support a busy team managing advisory and case files across Australia, New Zealand and Hong Kong.
The role is currently available at 0.6 FTE, making it an excellent option if you’re looking for meaningful professional work that can fit around school hours or other commitments. There may also be flexibility to consider other part time arrangements or permanent options for the right person.
Better still, there is genuine flexibility to work from home. For someone working part time, there is the potential to spend just one day per week in the office, with the remainder worked remotely.
You’ll work alongside experienced file handlers, helping members navigate queries and cases with professionalism, empathy and care. You’ll keep cases moving, communicate with members, manage administration and know when more technical matters need to be escalated.
Responsibilities

- Communicate with members in both Cantonese and English
- Provide professional, empathetic and timely member support
- Work alongside file handlers to progress cases within agreed service levels
- Assist members with enquiries and escalate technical or complex matters when required
- Support the management of informal complaints and expressions of dissatisfaction
- Maintain accurate case information and correspondence
- Process case related financial correspondence accurately and efficiently
- Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Identify and escalate potential risks or issues
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the team
- Ensure policies, procedures, privacy and compliance requirements are followed.
Requirements
- Fluency in Cantonese is essential
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Strong customer service or member management experience
- Excellent administration and organisational skills
- Confident communication skills with the ability to show empathy and manage difficult conversations
- Strong prioritisation and time management skills
- A practical approach to problem solving
- Ability to work autonomously while knowing when to escalate
- Confidence using IT systems and case management technology
- Healthcare or legal sector experience would be highly advantageous
- Knowledge of medical or dental terminology would also be beneficial.
Perks and benefits
- 0.6 FTE opportunity with genuine flexibility
- Potential for other part time or permanent working arrangements
- Work from home flexibility
- Potential for just one office day per week for part time employees
- An excellent role for someone wanting to work around school hours
- Meaningful work supporting healthcare professionals
