Case Manager - SAIF

Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Newark is one of New Jersey’s largest non-profit social service agencies with programs and facilities serving Bergen, Essex, Hudson, and Union counties.

We are currently seeking a  Full Time Case Worker for our S upportive Assistance for Individuals and Families (SAIF) program  located in  Newark, New Jersey .  The SAIF program’s aim is to reduce dependency on welfare by promoting self-sufficiency for individuals who have received welfare benefits for more than 48 months.

Job Duties:

• The Case Worker monitors their caseload; completes monthly state reports; completes monthly caseload lists; maintains case records; and completes assessments to identify barriers as well provide career counseling
• The Case worker will also complete intakes on weekly basis and build networks with employers for jobs and workshops for clients

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree (preferably Social Work, Sociology or Psychology field)
• 1 to 2 years experience in social services field
• Valid driver's license
