Caseworker

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Case Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting individuals facing various challenges, including addiction, behavioral health issues, and social welfare needs. This position requires strong crisis intervention skills and the ability to work collaboratively with clients to develop effective support plans. The Case Worker will be responsible for guiding clients through their journey towards recovery and self-sufficiency.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' needs and develop individualized service plans.
• Provide crisis intervention and management to clients in urgent situations.
• Offer addiction counseling and support to individuals struggling with substance use disorders.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers, social services, and community resources to ensure holistic care.
• Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to empower clients in their recovery process.
• Supervise and mentor junior staff or interns as needed, fostering a supportive learning environment.
• Assist clients in navigating Section 8 housing applications and child welfare services.
• Facilitate workforce development programs aimed at enhancing clients' employability skills.
• Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and case notes in compliance with organizational policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred. But High School Diploma and Experience is accepted.
• Proven experience in crisis intervention and management within behavioral health settings.
• Familiarity with addiction counseling techniques and resources available for substance use treatment.
• Strong understanding of child welfare systems and Section 8 housing regulations.
• Experience in supervising staff or interns is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with diverse populations.
• Knowledge of Medicare processes and resources is a plus.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.50 - $18.00 per hour
