Cash Allocation

To ensure that customer accounts remain up to date and that automated processes (such as dunning activities) can operate effectively, all payments posted in SAP must be reviewed and allocated on the same day or, at the latest, within 48 hours of receipt.

The person in this role will be responsible for obtaining remittance advice from customers when necessary to ensure payments are correctly allocated and that accounting records remain accurate and compliant.

In addition, this individual will collaborate with colleagues across other regions on the development of Cash Allocation policies, the standardization and harmonization of processes across the group, and the identification, implementation, and configuration of automation opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Accounting

• Responsible for verifying accuracy of accounting documents and records
• Compliance with and adherence to accounting standards
• Daily cash allocation
• Accurate cash allocation
• Developing and updating cash allocation procedures/policies/work instructions
• Automation
• Account reconciliations when required and maintain direct communication with customers

Data management & reporting

• Data entry into ERP systems
• Compile data and prepare a variety of financial reports
• Open payments report – daily

Qualification & Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting or equivalent experience

English – proficient verbal & writing

Local language (Bahasa Malaysia) – proficient verbal & writing

Good knowledge of accounting, rules and processes

Accurate with eye for detail

Skilled in SAP

Open minded Team player

Able to work independently Diplomatic
